When you actively invoke the extension on supported job boards (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, etc.), the extension parses the public text of the job description visible in your active browser tab. This content is used solely to generate your ATS keyword match score and create tailored resume revisions.

- Track Job Applications: Logging jobs you save or apply to inside the Job Application Tracker for your personal organization.
- Facilitate Account Creation & Authentication: Managing user accounts, login tokens, and quota synchronizations via Google OAuth.
- Respond to Inquiries & Provide Support: Resolving technical questions, troubleshooting bug reports, and handling feedback.
3. HOW DO WE USE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE? ↑ Top
AI Resume Tailor incorporates advanced Generative Artificial Intelligence (powered by the Google Gemini API) to assist you in crafting competitive, ATS-friendly job applications.
- No Model Training On Your Data: Under Google Enterprise and Gemini API data governance policies, your resume excerpts and prompts are processed strictly to return immediate completion outputs. Your personal career information is never used to train, retrain, or improve foundational AI models.
- User Discretion & Oversight: All AI-generated tailored bullet points, summaries, and cover letters are presented to you for full review and editing before you download or submit them.
- No Automated Decision Making: We do not make automated hiring decisions or conduct automated profiling that produces legal or significant effects.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION? ↑ Top
We never sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information or resume records to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties.
We only share information with third-party service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work:
- AI Inference Providers: Google Cloud / Google Gemini API (encrypted HTTPS transmission solely for processing prompt outputs).
- Authentication & Cloud Database: Supabase (encrypted TLS 1.3 transmission for authentication and trial/pro quota balances).
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, or judicial proceedings.
5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES? ↑ Top
No. AI Resume Tailor does not inject advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party marketing pixels into your browser. The extension relies exclusively on local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) to persist your personal settings, theme preferences, and tailored resume files on your machine.
6. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS AND GOOGLE USER DATA? ↑ Top
Our Services offer you the ability to sign in using your Google account credentials through Chrome's native chrome.identity API.
When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details including your Google User ID and email address. We use this data exclusively to:
- Authenticate your account session.
- Synchronize your free trial uses (e.g., 3 free tailored resumes) and Pro subscription status.
7. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY? ↑ Top
Our cloud service providers (Google Gemini API, Supabase) maintain servers located primarily in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, your AI processing requests and authentication tokens may be transferred, stored, and processed in facilities equipped with standard contractual clauses and robust TLS 1.3 encryption.
8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION? ↑ Top
We only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Local Storage: Retained on your machine until you overwrite, clear, or uninstall the extension.
- Account Data: Stored as long as you maintain an active account. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

eval(),new Function(), or obfuscated dynamic code anywhere in the extension codebase. - Self-Hosted Typography: All fonts (Inter, Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono) are packaged directly inside the extension bundle to ensure zero external third-party tracking.

- Right to Restrict or Object: You can choose not to sign in with Google or not to use the AI tailoring features without losing access to standard local tools.

Because we do not monitor or track our users' web browsing activities across third-party websites over time for advertising purposes, the extension inherently respects your privacy and adheres to the principles of Do-Not-Track (DNT).
